The gameplay loop is repetitive, but Altair’s and Desmond’s stories are among the most compelling in this franchise. Completing the side missions is enjoyable because of the dialogues that show Altair’s character development. After completing the first unlocked area, that’s pretty much what you’ll see throughout the whole game, which is why it got such a low rating for one of my most beloved games.
