Saros is one of the most fun PlayStation 5 games I’ve played in a long time. Housemarque absolutely nailed the moment-to-moment gameplay here. The movement is smooth, the combat feels incredible, and once the game gets rolling it’s honestly hard to put down. But the more I played Saros, the more I started feeling like it was caught between two completely different ideas. On one hand, it wants to be this gameplay-first rogue-lite where every run feels dynamic and player driven. On the other, it’s trying to deliver a more cinematic Sony-style narrative experience.
