@couga's review of Star Wars: Galactic Racer
★★★★½
You can think whatever you want about Star Wars: Episode 1. I, too, find plenty of things in it that are open to criticism. But what I’ve always loved is that the movie gave us pod races. Naturally, I was a huge fan of the game back then. So I was really curious to see if Galactic Racer could recreate that same gaming experience. I wasn’t disappointed. Even though the focus isn’t on pod races this time around, it’s just a ton of fun to tear through the tracks and battle for victory. I actually think it’s really well done how the pod races play a special role in the campaign. That makes the insane high-speed races even more special. I also had a lot of fun customizing my speeder so it does exactly what I want it to. As someone who’s notoriously not a fan of multiplayer, I even really enjoyed racing against other players. So, for me, Galactic Racer is ultimately a truly well-rounded and successful package.
