Can't think of a game that I've been more obsessed with in a long time. Unlocking every achievement in this game was incredibly rewarding. If this game doesn't get at the very least nominated for game of the year it'll have been snubbed. You can just feel the love for the genre oozing out in every level you play. Features that you just would never have guessed being an option become introduced as integral parts of how you play, and it becomes bizarre that anybody would not implement those in their own games. The style they went for, sound and level design, and overall vibe of the game was outstanding start to finish. I can't think of a single level that I didn't enjoy. Gold medals are difficult but not outlandishly impossible; I would often refuse to move on to the next level until I completed gold on the current one to avoid losing touch with how that one runs. You can tell that this game was made with heavy inspiration from various big hitters in the past, Jet Set Radio being the most notable, but what I think this game did so well was maintain their own unique identity and keeping that so polished 100% of the time. There was the occasional frustration with the train not always clipping to the rails the way they should, but I would quickly get over my sulks with this shortly after completing the level and moving onto the next. If you're wondering whether you should give this game a try, I can't recommend you buy this enough. It's fast-paced, addictive and filled to the brim with joy and a wonderful amount of representation for all walks of life.
