My first ever game that was truly MINE. My brother and I received a ds each for our birthdays, his came with Pokémon Diamond, mine with Pearl. This game sank its teeth into me quickly; the story was engaging for me as a child, and I feel the same to this day. The caving system was hilariously repetitive, with my brother and I often waging wars between our bases to steal each others' flags. I remember one time when I went to a school friend's house, her older brother and his friend showed me how to get gifted a level 100 Magmortar by the postman with cheats using their Wii.
