@oli_dori21's review of Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment
★★★½
Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment is a fantastic addition to the Zelda series and a great Warriors-style spin-off. The large-scale battles are incredibly fun, with tons of enemies to fight and plenty of playable characters that make the combat feel exciting and varied. The story is one of the game’s biggest strengths. It adds more depth to the events surrounding the Imprisoning War and gives several characters more time to shine. The presentation, music, and visuals also help make the adventure feel like a proper Zelda experience rather than just another Warriors game. The biggest downside is that the Warriors formula can become repetitive after playing for a while, especially when completing some of the more grind-heavy objectives. Still, the enjoyable combat, huge battles, characters, and Zelda fan service make it easy to overlook. Overall: A very fun Zelda spin-off with an engaging story and satisfying hack-and-slash gameplay. It isn’t perfect, but it’s one of the better Hyrule Warriors games and absolutely worth playing for Zelda fans. Rating: 4.5/5 ⭐️
