What more can anyone say about this game. I played it on a demo disc when it came out, played it over and over then I bought the game and played it and beat it...with a GameShark...so as an adult I refused to allow that to be how I finished and remembered it. I wanted to play through it with adult eyes and also save Meryl. My experience was odd as per usual as I played it on my PS2 with component cables and found that there's a bug that freezes during credits....before you can save your data...and last I saved was before metal gear rex.. It broke me as I took a long time to beat him...I was so friggin mad...then I slept on it and played it the next day on my PS1 (which was noticeably worse looking) and beat it... definitely got stuck on rex again lol. I did save Meryl thanks to the spoon trick after attempting twice physically and trying some other methods lol. It's a game I still think of every day..it's very weird like that. I plan to beat it again and get Otacon and then play twin snakes to get the full circle picture. For transparency I did play it with a guide to reference when I got stuck. It really puts into perspective how much of a non gamer I am lol.
