It took me a reeeal long time to pick this up after falling in love with the aesthetics when it was released in 98 with MGS..I still remember the magazines covers. I played this on the PS3 as a digital PS1 game. I loved the combat and music the absolute most in this game, good jolly is it excellent and fun and even memorable. I love music but very few songs or themes stick with me, one one has a couple for me. The story was engaging and the cutscenes very well done in both fmv and in game. It felt like die hard, Ghostbusters and muppet Christmas carol mixed in one movie and directed by david cronenburg. My pet peeves are the weapon modifying system and how nonsensical it was, the inventory management of non sense keys and cards and that fucking final boss. I got deep faked twice, once with the phone and a second with the wrong corridor...fml I nearly rage quit due to the stupid controls while running away. I'm choosing to keep good memories of the game and how much I love it as a thing and how I saw it in the Sony store and attached a memory of it being somehow extra quality
