There are a lot of different varieties of the rouge-like genre. And with that come a lot of rouge-like games that get released every year. And while it may seem like too many, I’m glad they do. I’ve learned that the gameplay loop is so addictive it all comes down to finding the right one for you. It’s hard for me to review these types of games because for me I rely on the eye test. This game passed my eye test and I had a lot of fun with it. -The art style of the game is very stylized and clean and grim -Enemy designs are all distinct and vary between each zone -Even though you are rolling a slot machine you can still be skillful enough to try to roll a combo that you want. I think it is a good combo of luck and skill -Every run unlocks permanent upgrades (Modifiers) that you can use and also discard of if you want to do runs with no extra help -You slowly unlock new abilities or items that you can use on the next runs -I like that every slot run die roll on the bottom right and if you hit a three of a kind you get extra coins, gambing is good If it looks like fun to you, it probably will be and it’s only a few bucks.
