Of the 3 current modern remakes, this is the best one imo. While it's pretty light on horror (though they do a good job of sprinkling in some sequences that are reminiscent of RE2), the gameplay flow and mechanics feel so refined in comparison. The action is so over-the-top and campy, and yet, the game still retains moments of the *survivor*-horror genre, where you realize you have no ammo or heals but still have to figure it out. While I would like to see the next remake go back to a true horror experience (re cv🙏), I would enthusiastically welcome more of this.
