Ace Combat 8 follows the same formula as previous titles and takes it to the next step. Missions have the most variety and it contains the most super weapon fights to date in the series. The flight mechanics will take some adjustment for players who have played Ace Combat 7. After a few missions it becomes clear how much more refined this flight model is, and it stands out as the best in the series. The game excells in the relationships between the squad mates of The Wing s of Thieve. It takes what made the Razgriz squadron stand out in AC5 and brings much more depth and better character development. The plot is something the other games have done before. Project Aces should consider retiring the "player take back the country inch by inch storyline", and come up with something more unique.
