Manor Lords is not my usual game. But it's very interesting for me since I enjoyed playing Age of Empires and Cities Skylines in the past, and some city builder game like Frostpunk. I like city builder games that has clear objective, not too complex mechanics that needs a whole academic degree to master it, and some funny moments where you can do stupid ideas. Manor Lords is basically that. It's difficult, and I need 3 retries to actually understand the mechanic, but the learning experience is pretty enjoyable for me! The game is very detailed too, especially the building. It's so fun to watch the AI building stuff, from getting resources with an Ox, making foundation, until they built the thing. Animals for transporting are very crucial to have though, since you need Ox to transport timber and stuff. Usually in city builder games I played, you just place a building and if you have enough resources, the building is either instantly built, or you just wait for a bit for the construction. Here, you need to be aware of the distance of your new building from the materials storage, and your Ox for transporting the materials. So it's tricky, but fun when you get it right.
