i never fully figured out this game's stance on AI but for a game so full of it, i don't think their focus ever actually was on having one. to me the narrative is a love letter to humanity, a love letter to our faults, our strengths, our curiosity and our uncertainties. diana as an AI version of a child, raised on the moon, lacks a lot of the experiences and knowledge of the world a human child would have but what makes her so human in spirit is her endless curiosity and hope and that is matched very well with hugh's clearly stated love and passion for explaining all things earth. (thank god we didn't get just another excitable kid and gruff and tough dad duo) when i first saw the trailer for this game i thought the gameplay seemed annoying and overbearing but i was pleasantly surprised by it. the game is very careful to never fully make you overwhelmed but introduces new aspects to its hacking gimmick so that it never becomes a chore. the progression as well feels very satisfying and you get a lot of ability to customize your combat abilities. the visuals and locations in this game can get a little bit samey when traversing them over and over again to get all the unlockables but it makes up for it by throwing some truly beautiful visual spectacles your way as a treat every now and then. all in all this game to me feels like pure optimism packaged into a nice sci-fi futuristic can. the little squirt was a little annoying sometimes tho
