Yo! Its a whole dang escape of the apes! Ape of the escapes! The planet of the ape escapes! Escape the ape! Eat a grape don’t be an ape! A PROFESSOR who is currently working on a TIME MACHINE with his LAB ASSISTANT Natalie puts a MONKEY PEAK-POINT HELMET on a cute lil albino monkey named SPECTER!!!!! 😱😱😱 The helmet gives Specter extreme intelligence, but it also makes him act like a huge dick. He throws a bunch of monkeys with funny police-siren helmets on into the TIME MACHINE and scatters them THROUGHOUT TIME to CAUSE ABSOLUTE CHAOS in our timeline. As Spike, you must use your tools, your wits, and your speed to prevent the ESCAPE of every APE. First of all, best voice acting of all time. Specter’s voice sounds like a pissed off 15 year old boy that’s just now reading the script for the first time. It’s magical. Now let’s talk about the GAMEPLAY. It’s fun, really fun. This is one of the first games to utilize dual analog sticks and they went NUTS with it. You swing your net with the right stick to grab the monkeys, which is the main goal in the game. You can knock them out before they outrun you too, or shoot them with your slingshot to knock them down from heights you can’t reach. You attack with your lightsaber stick by pressing the right stick in the direction you want to swing, you spin the right stick to take off with your flying tool, you control an R/C Car independently of your character with the right stick too, it’s all really cool, man. The mini games you unlock are also really cool. They all exclusively use the left and right stick so they’re really simple to play, but REALLY hard to master. The boxing one, where each stick controls each hand, is super addicting, played it for like an hour straight. These are KILLER mini games, man. And they’re multiplayer, too. Yeah man, good ass game, definitely recommend it. It’s pretty short and also pretty easy to 100%, and it feels pretty satisfying to do. Ooh ooh ahh ahh, monkey mode! 🐵
